HEV Batteries are available in Nickel-Metal hydrogen (NiMH), Lithium-Ion (Li-ion), and Lead-Acid batteries. NiMH batteries are affordable and comparatively long-lived batteries compared to some other types; Li-ion batteries are more compact and denser-storing energy with less weight. Examples of Secondary batteries include the Lead-Acid batteries although rare in use because of their cheaper prices compared to the other types of batteries.
