Air Handling Units (AHUs) are part and parcel of Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems with the responsibility of controlling and distributing the air within a building structure. These range from packaged, modular units, and custom built units as may be required depending on the demand. Due to its flexibility, this type of system can be installed in various establishments such as commercial establishments, industrial facilities or healthcare centres. Some AHU parts include a filter to enhance IAQ, a heating/cooling coil to control the temperature, dampers for the airflow, and fan assemblies for air distribution. These units can also incorporate other features including energy recovery systems that increase efficiency and minimize costs.
